Details of the 2018 Club Volleyball Season

Check list for evaluations:

  1. Register on line for evaluations at the link below.
  2. Players should arrive a half hour before evaluations start to check in and be ready to step on the court at the appointed time.  Check website for up to date schedule for your child's age group.  Schedule is subject to change.
  3. Parents should bring two checks with them.  One for $65 which covers evaluations and AAU Membership.  If you have a current AAU Membership, you need only bring $50 for evaluations.  All those trying out for Moto must have an AAU Membership.  These fees are non refundable!!!  The second check will be your first installment of club dues which will be $400.  If you decide not to join Moto, then this check will be destroyed.  However, if you accept an offer to join a team, then this check will be non refundable.  The breakdown for payments for the club season are listed below.  Please note that if we don’t have the first installment of club dues in hand, the $400 check, then we will not extend an offer to you to join a team. Make all checks payable to "Moto"
  4. If you cannot make the first two evaluation dates, please reach out to us at administrator@motovbc.com to let us know.  
  5. Parents are welcome to stay during evaluations, but need to stay in the coffee shop area.
  6. We will be looking to create teams as quickly as we can.  The expectation is that once offers are extended, you will be able to let us know right away that you are accepting.  We will only hold a position on a team for 24 hours.  Your help in expediting this aspect of the evaluation process will be greatly appreciated by all players, parents and staff.  The coach in charge of the team will make a call to you to extend the offer.  At this time, you will know who your coach will be, the practice location (126th and Promise Road in Fishers) and time of your practices.
  7. You may be extended an offer to join a team as a practice player.  A practice player only practices with the team and does not go to tournaments.  The cost of the practice player position is half that of the regular club season.  We may take up to two practice players on a team and that is at the discretion of the club and the coach of that team.  We do limit all teams to ten full season players. 
  8. A date, time and location will be scheduled in November for Spirit Wear orders.  Please note, the first Spirit Wear order will not arrive until after Christmas.
  9. All teams will schedule a team meeting in early December to finalize their tournament schedule. 

 

U15 through U18

For the U15 through U18 players, we will limit team size to 10 players.  Practices will be twice a week, two hours in length, and held at our gym located at 126th and Promise Road or 6701 Oaklandon Road.  When deemed appropriate and resources present themselves, these teams will have some additional practices outside of their set schedule.  A conditioning program will be put in place during the month of December.  This is included in your club fees.  These teams will start practice in the beginning of January and finish up approximately middle of May.  They will play in one or two day tournaments over the course of the season totaling 12 days of play.  These tournaments will be in the metro Indianapolis area and possibly in Chicago or St. Louis.  The total cost for each player will be $1765($1700 for club, $50 for tryout fee and $15 for AAU membership).  Parents will cover the cost of coaches expenses for out of town tournaments, estimated at $200 per player.  This amount will be collected in January.  If there is money left over at the end of the season, it will be refunded to the parents at the end of the season.  Playing in Orlando will be discussed at the team meeting as an option.  Players will receive 3 tee shirts and 2 jerseys.  Current coaches for these age groups will be Pam Stephenson, Mik Krelis and Casey Nelson.

U11 and U12

For the U11 and U12 players, we will limit team size to 10 players.  Practices will be twice a week, an hour and half in length, and held at our gym located at 126th and Promise Road.  These teams will start practice in the beginning of January and finish up before spring breaks.  They will play in 8 one day tournaments over the course of the season.  These tournaments will be in the metro Indianapolis area.  The total cost for each player will be $1065 ($1000 for club, $50 for tryout fee and $15 for AAU membership).  Players will receive 3 tee shirts and 2 jerseys.  Evaluation dates will be on the following dates and times at our Geist gym located at 126th and Promise road.

 

U13 and U14

For the U13 and U14 players, we will limit team size to 10 players.  Practices will be twice a week, two hours in length, and held at our gym located at 126th and Promise Road.  These teams will start practice in the beginning of January and finish up before spring breaks.  They will play in 10 one day tournaments over the course of the season.  These tournaments will be in the metro Indianapolis area.  The total cost for each player will be $1265($1200 for club, $50 for tryout fee and $15 for AAU membership).  Players will receive 3 tee shirts and 2 jerseys.  Evaluation dates will be on the following dates and times at our Geist gym located at 126th and Promise road.

 

Overview of the cost

We are entering our 10th year of operation at Moto with the emphasis having always been on quality coaching at an affordable price for parents.  In that spirit, Moto has reduced it's overhead and its cost to parents to give them more "bang for their buck."

All teams in the U11 thru U14 age group will complete their seasons before spring breaks begin.  

Club fees for Moto Volleyball Club will cover Coaches fees and expenses, Coaches travel expenses, gym rental, insurance, tournament cost, jerseys, practice tee shirts. Tournaments for all age groups will be in the region of Metro Indy, Yorktown, Anderson, Lafayette area with the option for older teams to do two or three out of town tournament in Ft. Wayne, Hobart, St. Louis or Chicago.  The breakdown for each age group is as follows.


2018 AAU Volleyball

The age determination date for AAU Volleyball is September 1. 
Below are the 2016 age requirements for each age division (effective Sept 1, 2017 - August 31, 2018).

10 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2007

11 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2006

12 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2005

13 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2004

14 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2003

15 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2002

16 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2001

17 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2000

18 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1999 or born on or after September 1, 1998 
AND
is a high school student (12th grade or below) during some part of the current academic year.
